  1. I read your earlier article about Why 99 Cents Doesn't Work For Me. I'm debating this myself. I write women's fiction and put out two novels in May 2011. At this point, I'm running out of friends and their book club friends. I'm contemplating establishing one of the books as a loss leader at 99 cents and pricing the other at $2.99. Is this your strategy here? P.S. I bought Takedown and tagged and liked your book.

  2. Katherine,

TAKEDOWN was my foray into a new genre. I released it at the end of March, and I received very positive feedback on the book from several reviewers, but we are in the summer doldrums right now. Seasonality in the book biz means summer is the low time for sales, so I decided to reduce the price, for a limited time, to make it more attractive.

Thanks for purchasing TAKEDOWN. I grabbed samples of your books. You could set your first one at $2.99 to experiment with price. As a new author it takes time to gain traction.
